The "Medicine Man Show" - An Episode

Among recently found and dusted off old videos is this one taken of a 1999 episode of a call-in radio talk show I was co-host of, “The Medicine Man,” who was Dr. Nass Ordubadi.
The show ran for 48 weeks on Seattle's ABC affiliate, KIRO 1000 Radio, airing every Saturday at 6 PM for an hour right before the Mariners games.
The show came to an abrupt halt when Dr. Ordubadi was indicted for Medicare fraud. He took a plea bargain that sent him to a minimum security prison in Oregon for three years. Unfortunately, while in prison he died of a heart condition for which he refused surgery. He had by then changed his name to Noah and felt he was on a spiritual mission that required his death. Ironically, this particular episode of the show was about heart disease and heart transplants. Each show focused on a recent development in medicine with a guest specialist to talk about it. The guest for this show was Dr. Kevin Douglas O'Brien, cardiologist at the University of Washington.
Family connections here: At time 4:06, I give a shoutout to daughter Sarah for winning a gold medal for Western State University in the Taekwondo State Championship games, and at time 30:30 (during a commercial break) my sister Sue calls into the show, as she often did, but then apparently she had to wait too long and hung up.
