Shows I have been in
In 1980, 11-year-old daughter Hillery asked me if I wanted to join her in a Vashon Island production of the musical, "Oliver!" She was going to be one of the children in the orphanage, and men were needed in the chorus, she said.
Little did I know at the time that community theater is always hungry for men, and instead of singing in the chorus I was cast as Mr. Bumble. From that moment on I had the "bug" and appeared in several community theater musicals and plays; I even appeared in a professional production of "Fiddler on the Roof" at the Evergreen Theater in Seattle, in the lead role as Tevye, and got good reviews.

Radio:
I created and read the "You and The Law" series for KUOW-FM, Seattle (1990; ten programs).
From 1998-1999 I co-hosted a weekly call-in talk radio show, "The Medicine Man," dealing with medical and health-care delivery issues, broadcast on Seattle's KOMO AM Radio 1000 (an ABC affiliate), Saturdays 6-7 PM (48 shows) right before the Mariners games.

Each show would invite an expert physician to the show to talk on some subject of medicine. As the "color guy," my job was to ask silly or stupid questions in order to encourage listeners to call in, since they could hardly do worse. I got pretty good at acting stupid. In fact, it wasn't much of an act.

I also played Poobah in "The Mikado;" Bunthorne in another G&S musical, "Patience; or, Bunthorne's Bride;" Mayor Shinn in "The Music Man;" Walter in "Artichoke,'' a comedy by Joanna McClelland Glass; Dr. Gibbs in "Our Town," and Herr Schulz in "Cabaret."

Movies:
"Black Widow," starring Debra Winger and Theresa Russell. I play an extra as a cop in a roomful of cops. I get two seconds of fame on-camera as I rush to deliver a document to somebody.
"Easier Said," starring nobody you ever heard of. I played Sheriff Tiny (ha ha), and I had a lot of fun doing it. It is available on VHS tape only on Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/Easier-Said-VHS-Bo-Clancey/dp/B00005LOKN/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&qid=1494137579&sr=8-11&keywords=easier+said+movie. Caveat: the movie got bad reviews, so the VHS tape is cheap.
