Mary Jane's Page

Mom had moments where she aspired to be a writer. In her later years she taught classes to seniors on Vashon Island on how to write a memoir. She herself wrote her memoir that Larry helped to edit, and he is hugely embarrassed not to be able to find it now, though his quest goes on to locate it, hopefully on one of what must be several hundred old floppy disks.

At any rate, here is one of her attempts at a children's story called "Trumpet," a fish adrift in Lake Harriet in Minneapolis who finds safety in friends; we hope to replace this with the copy that includes the illustrations:
